ITEM: Gorgeous Platinum Art Deco trilogy Diamond ring. Trilogy Engagement rings, also known as three-stone rings, are a popular style of engagement ring that has a long and rich history. They are typically made up of three stones that are meant to represent the past, present, and future of a relationship.

Trilogy rings have been popular in Western culture since the Victorian era when diamonds were first discovered in South Africa and became more widely available. The three-stone design was seen as a way to showcase the beauty and rarity of diamonds, while also symbolising the past, present, and future of a relationship.

The concept of a trilogy ring is believed to have originated in ancient Egypt, where it was thought to represent the three phases of the sun (rising, noon, and setting) or the three stages of life (birth, life, and death). The Greeks and Romans also used three-stone rings to symbolize the past, present, and future, but it wasn’t until the Victorian era that they became popular as engagement rings.

During the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 30s, trilogy rings became even more popular, with many featuring colourful gemstones alongside diamonds. They remained a popular style throughout the 20th century and continue to be a popular choice for engagement rings today.
