ITEM: Antique silver plated meat or veggie skewer with ornate cow and tree accent. The cow is beautifully detailed on both the front and back side. Skewers like this were made with a variety of decorative tops, and were used for cooking meat, fish and vegetables and served directly on the plate. The sturdy spike is flat to keep food from spinning around. These are so lovely you could also use it as a hair stick or hat pin on an open weave hat.
